Our 12-day Tanzania Photographic Safari explores the Northern Safari Circuit, renowned for its abundant wildlife and stunning landscapes. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

As you walk out of Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal Tanzania Specialist guide greets you with a big smile: ‘Karibu Tanzania – welcome to Tanzania!’ The guide takes you straight to your hotel, where you can relax and take in the African atmosphere. The next day, your guide will take you on an exclusive, private safari, allowing you to travel at your own pace in the luxury of your own safari jeep. Enjoy the freedom to stop and watch the animals as long as you like! If you arrive via a different airport, just let us know, and we’ll arrange convenient transfers to ensure you reach us smoothly.

Day 2: Arusha National Park

After breakfast, we head to Arusha National Park, a haven of diverse fauna and flora. This park’s picturesque landscapes have attracted Hollywood, with scenes from the movie “Hatari” filmed here. Get ready to encounter a variety of wildlife, including buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, zebras, and fascinating bird species. Don’t miss the chance to observe the black and white colobus monkeys, known for their remarkable tree-climbing and jumping skills.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

Experience the wonders of Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River that sustains its wildlife during the dry season. This park’s dense vegetation, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands, provides a habitat for a diverse range of animals. Look out for elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, as well as predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Tarangire is also a bird lover’s paradise, boasting the highest number of breeding bird species in Tanzania.

Day 4: Another day in Tarangire

Embark on another exciting game-viewing drive within Tarangire National Park after a hearty breakfast. Your knowledgeable safari guide will take you to the most captivating spots, where you can marvel at the park’s stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife. Be ready to capture the mesmerizing African wilderness with your camera.

Day 5-6: Serengeti National Park

Get ready for the epitome of wildlife adventures as we head to Serengeti National Park, renowned as the ultimate safari destination. Serengeti offers unparalleled wildlife encounters and breathtaking natural beauty. Witness the iconic Great Wildebeest Migration, a spectacle that draws visitors from around the globe, and enjoy encounters with an incredible array of plains game and predators.

Day 7-8: Further Exploration of Serengeti

Immerse yourself deeper into Serengeti National Park as we explore the western region, where diverse vegetation and landscapes highlight Serengeti’s uniqueness. Witness captivating wildlife in their natural behaviors and interactions. Your base for the next two nights will be Mbalageti Serengeti, a mid-range lodge offering warm hospitality, delicious meals, and the chance to share experiences with fellow adventurers.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

Today, descend into the renowned Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game-viewing drive. Known as Africa’s “Eighth Wonder of the World,” this UNESCO World Heritage Site features an unparalleled concentration of wildlife. Prepare to encounter the Big Five and numerous other species in this captivating setting. Keep your camera ready to capture the awe-inspiring sights, and enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site within the crater.

Day 11: Lake Manyara National Park

Embark on a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast. As you set out on a game-viewing drive, prepare to be enchanted by the park’s diverse terrain and rich biodiversity. Spot troops of baboons, elephants, and, if you’re lucky, the famous tree-climbing lions. Lake Manyara offers a unique safari experience and is a haven for nature lovers. Enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site before returning to Eileen’s Trees Inn for dinner and relaxation.

Day 12: Return to Arusha and Departuring

On your final day, enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee with breakfast at your lodge and take a moment to relax and reflect on the incredible safari experiences you’ve had. After packing your belongings, you’ll embark on a scenic drive back to Arusha in our private safari Land Cruiser. This marks the end of your memorable “Golden Photography” adventure, and you’ll receive a certificate to commemorate your extraordinary journey.
